I have performance rebuilt one with new torque converter with less then 1000 k on it (took it out of the car 'cos converted to stick) and I have one that is coming out of 87 se with ~90k on it. (converting to stick)

Is there any plans for a Christmas get together? We could play pool at Finnigans, or bowling again, or something. Hopefully I dont get shipped away this time, although the overtime pay to work 8 hours, and sleep in a truck for 10 hours was nice.

I dont think there is any way to visually see the difference, unless you check the vin number on the tranny. But since the car was a Z24 Cavalier (V6 stock) it is probably the stock Cavalier tranny (Getrac 282)

Was at pick n pull yesterday, and they had the usual stuff there. I noticed 2 cavaliers which were different. One was one prepped for circle track racing I think, it was a 92 or so, but had the doors welded shut and the iron bar across them, and no windows but the windshield, was even decaled up. It had 320,000KM on it.
Another one was an early 90's cavalier Z24, but it had a 3.4L DOHC motor in it and a getrac 5-speed. I dont know if it was the original Cavalier 5-speed, or one from a 3.4 TDG (which is very rare, and stronger than the stock Getrac 282). The car was either picked over, or he gave up in the middle of the swap, but either way it was interesting.

we have a deep red 87 Gt that we bought for the interior mostly, the car was lightly hit in the front not a write off.
the car will be missing windshield, rad, liglt motors and assembly, interior, sunroof, calipers, door locks, engine and trans and spoiler.
Interested the pictures can be sent. this car is $500.00
in Coaldale 12 km east of lethbridge.
